History of Cannabis as a Medicine By Lester Grinspoon, M.D

This is a most excellent dissertation, filled with relevant facts documenting the historical uses of cannabis as medicine and the unreasonable position stubbornly held by the DEA.

On August 16, 2005, Dr. Lester Grinspoon M.D., Harvard Medical School Emeritus prepared a statement for the DEA regarding the history of cannabis as a medicine.

Prof. Lyle Craker, UMass Amherst was suing DEA for refusing to issue him a license to grow marijuana exclusively for federally- approved research, funded by a grant from MAPS.

This is in the form of a PDF file, which you can download here.
